Soman Chainani’s hit novel The School for Good and Evil, adapted into a stop-motion film

Two best friends are whisked away to opposing schools of good and evil, where students are trained to be future fairytale heroes and villains. They find themselves writing their own story amidst a war between one another, questioning everything they’ve ever known.

Why Stop-Motion?

The world is as theatrical and artificial as it gets: the melodrama, campiness, and uncanny nature of the plot and its characters.

Stop-motion films evoke the same feeling - a feeling of "this is slightly unsettling and goes against social norms, but I can't look away."
